Project Description

In spring of 2013 I was tasked with designing custom packaging for 3 types of prosthetics that PrimeSource fabricated in their labs. After a couple of weeks of research and testing various box designs, I came up with the packaging you see in these pictures. Each box was made of 2 main parts; an inner tray which held the box’s contents, and an outer cover that slipped over the inner piece.

I am particularly proud of how these boxes came together. I had never done any real packaging design prior to this project. My favorite thing about the boxes is that the inner tray piece is designed in such a way that it holds itself together without the aid of tape or glue, which was a major advantage with assembly time and storage space.
